Why shop for my Hearing Aids Online?

ACE Audiology offers an internet sales portal option for the convenience of intending hearing aid purchasers who prefer to research and buy online. We also operate a bricks and mortar store front. You can be assured you are dealing with real people and a real store where clinical services are provided.

An online offering represents a financial and convenience saving as it streamlines our processes thus lowering procurement costs. We pass these savings on to you. You can be assured products come with strong and ongoing clinical backup.

All online hearing aid purchases include in store fitting, review and any hearing aid fitting related consultations during the first 12 months from the date of fitting.

What steps do I need to follow to obtain my hearing aids?

1.    Use our online store to make your hearing instrument selection(s)

2.    Choose the colour of instrument you prefer (hair colour is best)

3.    Add your items to the Shopping Cart and make your payment online

4.    Contact us to arrange a suitable time to have your hearing tested and aid (s) fitted.

5.    Reacquaint yourself with the sounds of life before your next review appointment where further fine tuning will be performed.

Do I need a hearing test?

Yes, this is an  professional obligation upon ACE Audiology to exclude contraindications to amplification or medically treatable conditions that may obviate the need for hearing aids. 

How much does a hearing test cost?

There is no cost for the diagnostic hearing assessment when purchasing hearing instruments.

Are there any additional costs?

The hearing aid purchase price covers the cost of the fitting, review and any hearing aid related consultations during the first 12 months from the date of fitting. We also include 3 months’ supply of batteries.

Can I insure items sent to me by post?

Yes you can. As you progress your payment options tick the insurance check box and an additional amount will be added to the invoice. If the item is insured for more that $300 then an additional charge of $2.95 for signature on delivery is required by our carrier.  An additional fee for signature on delivery is not required for Courier mail as this is included in the service offering by the carrier. The maximum insured limit is $5,000.00 per item. 

How do I know if the hearing aid I select is strong enough for me?

Hearing instruments that use receiver in the ear technology (RIC) are adaptable to a wide range of hearing losses. The receiver will be selected from our in store stock at the time of the fitting.

What is ACE Audiology’s “Goof Proof Warranty” for hearing aid purchases?

ACE Audiology wishes to provide you with the fullest confidence to purchase hearing aids online. Please be reassured, that should you make an error, or change your mind about your hearing aids, ACE Audiology is more than happy to assist you set things right without any financial penalty to you provided this is done within thirty days of your original purchase.

What warranties are provided with the Hearing Instruments I purchase?

The manufacturer warranty is for a period of 3 years from the date of fitting and excludes fair wear and tear, accidental loss or damage beyond repair. The international manufacturer warranty is for 12 months.

Can I obtain refund?

Yes, you may obtain a refund within 30 days of the date of fitting provided the returned hearing aids are in good condition and working order.

Can I obtain a rebate from my health fund?

ACE Audiology is accredited with health funds. If you have the relevant level of health fund cover you may present our receipt to receive their rebate.

Can Pensioners and Veterans eligible for OHS funding buy online?

Due to the complexity of OHS funding arrangements online purchasing is not advised. Please contact ACE Audiology on 03 9850 8888 and we can assist determine your eligibility and facilitate access to appropriate hearing health care. ACE Audiology is an accredited Office of Hearing Services provider and can fulfill your hearing aid requirements with its broad range of free to client and top up hearing instruments.

I live overseas. Can I purchase online?

Yes you can. Please contact ACE Audiology as there are some important additional requirements that we need to discuss with you to ensure you receive the best possible service for your circumstances. Postal charges for delivery are based upon the region to which the item is to be delivered. International hearing aid sales have a 12 months manufacturer warranty.

Are there any Conditions attached to online Purchasing?

Yes. ACE Audiology does reserve the right to withdraw any of its online offerings without notice at its sole discretion or advise you of additional conditions that may apply to sales in unique circumstances.
